the trough of bowland - lancashire's hidden gem, even the Queen wants to retire here! Fantastic walks with breathtaking views, really popular with cyclists and bird watchers.

garstang - just 5 minutes away this perfect market town was the world's first fair-trade town. The local market every Thursday on its medieval main street adding colour and atmosphere to this lovely welcoming town. Independent boutique shopping and tea shops make it well worth a visit. Don't forget your Garstang blue cheese.

scorton - a lovely walk from here and really popular with our guests, Scorton is a very pretty anglo-saxon village and our local village with PO, Spar,and lovely tea shops and a garden centre with gift shop.

city of lancaster - historic university town well worth a visit with museums and an historic castle, great high street shopping if you are getting withdrawals!

the lake district - england's largest national park with everything it has to offer is only 25 minutes away and well worth a visit at any time of year.

blackpool - britain's undisputed capital of entertainment with its world famous Tower, Pleasure Beach, three piers, Sea-life centre, water park. Come in the Winter for the must-see illuminations, the greatest free show on earth "great for the kids".
